Intrepid Powerboats held its first Owners Rendezvous at Hawks Cay Resort in Florida and company President Ken Clinton can’t wait for the next one.

“I love all the stories about the storm they got caught in and the Intrepid got them through it, the fish they caught, and all the other memories they created on their Intrepid that will stay with them and their families for the rest of their lives,” Clinton wrote in an email. “I should have done it a long time ago!”

About 60 people attended the Owners Rendezvous that took place July 12-14 in the Florida Keys. Intrepid Powerboats limited the number of participants because it was the first event, Clinton said.

Participants arrived on Friday where the owners received their owners gift bags that included shirts, towels and other goodies. That night the owners enjoyed a cocktail party, dinner and entertainment.

On Saturday after breakfast, Intrepid Powerboats held a raft up party before heading back to Hawks Cay Resort for dinner and drinks. Sponsors donated items for a customer raffle. Clinton spoke about the various models the company is building at its Largo, Florida, manufacturing facility.

“After releasing the 345 Nomad FE and SE at the Fort Lauderdale boat show, we then did the 375 Nomad FE and SE, and we are presently building a 345 Walk Around, a 407 Nomad FE and SE, along with our newest flagship the 477 Evolution for a total of eight new models in just one year which is more new vessels introduced in one year than any other year in the history of Intrepid Powerboats,” Clinton said. “I then played our new Brand Essence video for everyone. I wanted the people at the event to be the first ones to see it.”

On Sunday the customers had breakfast, loaded their boats and returned home.

Clinton, who has been with the company nearly 29 years, said he enjoyed the one-on-time with the customers at the first Owners Rendezvous. “I love getting feedback from them,” Clinton said. “What they like, don’t like (or they) want to see in the future.”
