The rendezvous starts on Friday evening with a cocktail reception at Bridges Restaurant. On Saturday morning after a brunch check in at the Jetty Dock Bar, the boats will do about a 30-minute run to Lowes Wharf Marina Inn for a crab fest dinner and live music from the Chris Sacks Band.
The event wraps on Sunday with an optional trip to Conquest Beach where the boats will raft up with families and kids enjoy the day. This is the first year that Annapolis Boat Sales has put on a rendezvous, said Madison Hackett, marketing and event coordinator for Annapolis Boat Sales.
“We just want our customers to have a relaxing weekend,” said Hackett, adding, “If the weekend turns out well, I think we’ll probably make it an annual event.”
Everglades, which builds center-console models from 25 to 45 feet, is staging its own rendezvous and working with its dealers. The Edgewater, Florida, builder will host a rendezvous in Destin, Florida (June 29); Fire Island, New York (July 13-14) and the Florida Keys (July 19-21).
Everglades has been staging its rendezvous since at least 2014 with most of the events taking place primarily in Florida. There is no registration fee for the rendezvous, Annapolis Boat Sales is asking participants to donate to the Fishing for Muscular Dystrophy (FFMD).
