Scout Boats unwrapped the all-new 400 LXF at the Miami International Boat Show in February, adding to its growing LXF Collection of luxury sportfish models.

The 39-footer is the eighth model in the LXF category, joining the 255, 277, 305, 330, 355, 425 and 530 LXF models. Scout Boats says the collection blends high-performance fish boats with high-end cruisers, offering features that are found on larger sportfishing models.

“We want the customer to feel that ‘wow factor’ when they look at our models, when they touch something on the model, when they captain the model, and everything in between,” said Scout President Dave Wallace.

The 400 LXF is built utilizing epoxy-infusion with carbon-fiber/e-glass construction, which Scout says creates a stronger and faster boat with improved fuel efficiency. As consumers have come with expect with the LXF line, the South Carolina builder utilizes top-shelf materials and finishes throughout the boat.

Among the highlights is the helm that includes as standard two Garmin 8616 touchscreens (available for upgrade to three 8616 screens). The owner can control features throughout the model with the help of C-Zone digital switching technology including electronically actuated SureShade integrated retractable aft awning and electronically actuated articulating rocket launchers. A Seakeeper 3 gyro stabilizer comes standard.

The 400 LXF also showcases a unique raised aft facing lounge seat/electronically actuated convertible leaning post option that adds a Kenyon grill, sink and cutting board to a ice maker and tackle drawers, or substitute a drawer refrigerator instead.

Showcasing the crossover appeal, the 400 LXF has a standard hydraulic portside beach platform with synthetic teak to make getting into the water and boarding safely away from the transom and engines.

Standard features throughout include a port and starboard acrylic transom access door; gas shock-assisted hatches; flush-mount cleats and rod holders; port and starboard floor fish boxes with overboard diaphragm discharge; a patented powder-coated hardtop with curved glass enclosure; under hardtop/under gunwale LED dimming courtesy lighting; and two hardtop-retractable water hoses for fresh and raw.
