Sunsation Powerboats introduced its largest center console model to date in late 2018, building upon the success of its 32 and 34 CCX models. The boat was two years in the making and is a foot longer than originally planned. Available in triple or quad configurations with Mercury Racing power, the Michigan builder offers custom interior appointments and personalized graphics.
Among the cool features is the SeaDek on the hardtop that allows sun worshipers to layout while the boat is on a sandbar or docked. Other features buyers will like is the starboard side dive door, a rear bench seat that can comfortably seat three people and the two-person sculpted lounge in front of the driver’s helm.
The 40 CCX comes with dual boosters and to make it easy to maneuver around the dock the docks, Sunsation includes a bow thruster. Sunsation’s Joe Schaldenbrand said the top speed is around 75 mph.
