Cobia 240CC – Capable and Comfortable

3667

Cobia’s new 240 CC is the latest model to seamlessly mesh tournament capability, family comfort, and style in a single package. Built on a proven hull with superior fuel efficiency and open water running performance, the deck layout maximizes form and function.

A wide-open cockpit with a level floor from bow to stern, twin 33-gallon fish boxes, a 28-gallon live well, and a standard aft tackle station combine to meet the hard-core angler’s needs. Standard fishing features on the center-console boat include gunwale mounted rod holders, freshwater washdown, horizontal rod racks under the covering boards and freshwater wash down. Anglers will love the thigh-high support when reeling in the big catch.

On the flip side, the 240 CC is equally adept as a platform for hosting an elegant sunset cruise or spending the day sandbar-hopping. Guests will appreciate the bigger-boat amenities such as a walk-down head, hideaway rear bench seat with backrest, and an upgrade cushion package that includes double-bolstered helm seat and forward-facing backrests for the bow. And, there’s a long of colors and options to choose from in order to “customize” the 240 CC.

Yamaha is the exclusive power supplier for Cobia, so naturally the company’s four-stroke outboards are on the 240CC. The boat is designed to accept either single or twin outboards. If buyers opt for the single outboard configuration, the Yamaha F300 XXL should more than satisfy their power needs.

According to Cobia, the 240CC with a Yamaha F300 XXL outboard spinning a 17” SWS II prop has a top speed just shy of 50 mph. Not that top speed is a deciding factor for buyers, but it’s good to know the power is there when trying to get to the favorite fishing grounds quickly.
