Looking to replace the traditional image of a center console, Black Thunder Offshore is releasing the 47’ Don Jenkins Signature Series Offshore Center Drive. The Black Thunder design team headed up by Don Jenkins set out to offer a new concept of what the future of center consoles will be.
Forget excessive wind and limited amenities offered below deck. The new 47-footer is a 90-mph condo on the water complete with 6’10” of cabin headroom. Black Thunder calls its new model a center drive hybrid to the current center console designs.
A large hardtop covers the cockpit to provide some protection from the wind. Black Thunder waill offer multiple cockpit configurations for sport or fish. Buyers can opt for either quad Mercury Racing 400R outboards or twin 850-hp stern drives from Mercury Racing.
